Sarah, and Chagrin Falls Photography students first stop was Mentor Headlands Beach; A 1 mile stretch of beach down the shore of Lake Erie. The students goal at the beach was to capture different photos with multiple techniques learned throughout the year. One photo the students were required to take was a picture of an anonymous person. This picture is Sarah's favorite because she loves the placement of the person. She also likes the contrast of the dark clothes to the warmer, brighter background. The beach also had interesting wood pieces laying around which made for interesting objects to take pictures of. Another one of Sarah's favorite pictures is the picture of her interesting object. Students were required to bring an interesting object to the beach to take pictures of. Sarah chose to bring a small wooden doll that has been part of her family for years. She thought the bright colors would contrast nicely with the dull sand, yet still make for a natural looking picture. This picture also follows the rule of thirds. Although it was a rainy, cloudy, and not ideal beach day, Sarah and the Chagrin Falls photography students enjoyed taking pictures on the longest beach in Ohio.
