The Chagrin Falls High School photography classes took a field trip to Mentor Headlands beach and Lake Farm Park on Thursday, April 30th to take pictures for their final exam. For an entire day, the students walked around and took pictures of the beach, interesting architecture, nature, and farm animals. Their first stop was Mentor Headlands; Ohio's longest beach, stretching 1 mile down the coast of Lake Erie. In the summer the beach is commonly used by Cleveland locals to soak up the sun and enjoy the cool fresh water. The students enjoyed taking pictures of the beach scenery and lighthouse. The Chagrin Falls photography students next stop was Lake Farm Park. This 225 acre Metropark was opened in 1990 in the hopes to expose children and families to farm animals and nature. Halle Howard, junior digital photography student, said, "my favorite scene to shoot was the horse while they were running". Overall, the Chagrin Falls photography students seemed to be very pleased with the locations chosen for the field trip this year.
